This was an interesting essay, very well reserached and well argued by a obviously well informed and well oiled mind. A bed time read, however, it was not! Moreover, the subject is "recalibration"... reform, change et al. It is the stuff of action and verb. It is the critical question once problems have had the torch shone on them. Having read this essay, perhaps it was just me failing to grasp fundamentals, but I was left appreciating a simpler, shorter essay by the author: beyond the philosophy and theory, to describe the practical, tangible manifestation of what is discussed here. It would not be to dilute the vision, but to take it one extra step, from the thought lab into the sunlight: How does future government look? And how do we, as a nation, go from here and now to there and then?
