Civitas has a limited number of places available for
internships. Interns receive travel expenses but no payment and are
expected to play a full part in the life of the organisation. They will
be allocated to a specific area of research, and given a project with
measurable goals. The minimum period for an internship is four weeks,
full time, although most interns are with us for six weeks. We do not
offer part-time or non-continuous internships. Internships are available
throughout the year, during term time and vacations, although there is
of course a greater demand for the vacation periods.
If you are interested in an internship with Civitas
please send your CV, together with a covering letter explaining why you
think you would make a good intern, to Anastasia de Waal.
We ask applicants who are invited for interview to familiarise
themselves with the work of the organisation through the website before
coming.
Because unemployment among young people is currently
very high, we are offering a small number of paid internships for a
minimum of three months and up to six months. The minimum wage (£5.80)
will be paid. The positions are available for graduates who want to gain
research experience, although one or more positions may be available
for candidates wanting to gain experience in office administration and
project organisation. Subjects for study will include education, health
reform, crime policy, and the renewal of manufacturing.
If you are interested in a paid internship please check www.w4mp.org for current vacancies and follow the instructions given.
