This page lists all of the factsheets that Civitas has updated on the EU Facts resource. From here, schools can download the new files and update the CD-ROM version of EU Facts to ensure that all of the information that it contains is current.

Reason:

How to update

  1. Ensure that the EU Facts CD-ROM is in the disk drive.
  2. Right click here. Select 'Save target as' from the drop-box that will appear.
  3. This will open a box asking you where to save the file to. Go to 'My Documents' and click 'Make a new folder' icon in the top-right corner. Call the folder 'EU Facts'.
  4. Double click on this new 'EU Facts' folder and press 'Save'. This will download the updated version of EU Facts onto your computer.
  5. In the EU Facts folder, click 'Extract All' on the left-hand menu. Follow the on-screen instructions to extract all the EU Facts files from the zip file (keep the 'EU Facts' folder as the file location).
  6. Once this has been completed, press control&A to select all the files now in the EU Facts folder. Click on 'Copy selected items', select the CD drive (D:/CIVITAS EU Facts) (in 'My Computer') and click 'Copy'.
  7. There will be a number of prompts asking you, if you want to overwrite the existing files; click 'Yes to all'.
  8. After this process has finished, a bubble will appear in the bottom-right of your screen, that reads: 'You have files waiting to be written to the CD'. Click on the bubble and follow the on-screen instructions to write the copied files to the CD.
  9. You have now updated EU Facts!
