EU Worksheets

EUFacts has been expanded to incorporate a series of worksheets.

These are either single or double-sided pdf sheets containing questions and activities to increase students' knowledge of the EU as a political institution and develop awareness of its impact on them as both British and European citizens.

They are intended as a teaching resource to test student's knowledge, either in classroom exercises or as independent assignments. However the questions are drawn directly from the contents of EUFacts and all sheets can be fully completed with reference to the factsheets as a research source.

The worksheet questions are specifically designed to reflect the requirements of all the major Examining Boards' specifications in the following subjects:

• GCE Government & Politics

• GCE Economics

• GCE Business Studies

However they are relevant for all A-level students, whether undertaking General Studies, schools' own internal curriculum enrichment programmes, or just hoping to increase their knowledge of the European Union.

As well as testing examinable knowledge the worksheets aim to encourage students to engage in independent thinking, developing their own political opinions and presenting them in a coherent fashion.

A marking scheme has been incorporated to mirror examinations and encourage students to practice structuring their answers in consideration of the marks available.
